We are very proud that our Managing Director, Colin Todd, and Andy Fox, a Director of the practice, received a Certificate of Recognition from Thames Valley Police, comprising a commendation for their role in preparing an expert report for the Court, on the instructions of Thames Valley Police, in a case involving an explosion and fire at a block of flats in the Thames Valley region, caused by the resident of one flat, which resulted in the deaths of two residents of other flats and the demolition of the block.

The certificate states that they played an important part in this case, and we are aware that our report was considered by the Court in the sentencing hearing.  The certificate was signed by the Head of Thames Valley CID and was co-signed by representatives of other agencies, including the Deputy Chief Fire Officer of Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service.

The culprit pleaded guilty to two charges of murder, two charges of grievous bodily harm and one charge of arson with intent to endanger life.  He received a whole life sentence.
